Made it over the second post hurdle! I bet you all thought I forgot about this. I plan on doing 2-3 posts a week so people aren't inundated but there is regular content.
First up, I've been playing Octopath Traveler again and I'm loving it! I put in about 20 hours right after it first came out just over a year ago and then didn't touch it since August of 2018. Played a bunch of other stuff, but I'm back to the eight! If you have a Switch, you should do yourself a favor and check out this great JRPG.
Ok. Fiction. That's what this blog is all about. In tonight's entry I want to focus on Purge, the protagonist from Hundred Dollar Heroes. Purge has been my favorite character for a long time. If I can find my original drawing of him from when I was 15, I'll find a way to upload it here and share it. It's crazy to me how little his design has changed over the last 18 years. I feel like I pretty much nailed it from the beginning.
This was his design as of 2014, drawn on an iPad:

The only change to today in my head is that he is a bit thinner, not quite as muscular and younger looking, but I'm not that good of an artist to portray.
So yeah. He's green. He's got a cool tail. He's got two fingers like a ninja turtle and floppy antennae on his head. Oh, and what's up with his forearms you might ask? Well, that's where he gets his name. His forearms and lower legs house a 'goo' he can secret and use to stick to walls. He also is adept at collecting some in his hands and throwing it at opponents to blind or disorient. Years of practice have given him preternatural aim that would make the best NFL quarterbacks jealous.
Purge isn't all about his looks and powers though, Purge has had a rough life he tries to cover up with humor. Obviously since I'm writing him, he's hilarious. Well, at least he thinks he is. His 16 year old humor can wear thin on his teammates at times, but luckily for him Haka and Prism are right around his age anyway. Who are Haka and Prism? Well, check out future entries to hear more about Purge's fellow Heroes!

Other than that, see you next time!
